The Royal Collection (from 1997)
JMD&Co devised and developed the role of wardens in welcoming visitors to Buckingham Palace (from 1997) and The Queen's Gallery (from 2002) and trained an in-house team to coach and consolidate the annual training programme. The company also trained the guides for Clarence House from 2006. JMD&Co continues to devise and deliver training at Royal Collection sites including the Royal Mews.

JMD&Co developed and delivered training for stewards at Edinburgh Castle, Stirling Castle and Maes Howe, Orkney to improve and extend guided tours. Based on JMD&Co's methods, several major sites have developed new approaches to guiding which include:
Themed tours to provoke responses from visitors;
Interactive techniques to encourage conversations; and
Communication skills which acknowledge visitors' contributions
The company led a coaching programme for rangers at Neolithic Orkney World Heritage site to recruit and manage a team of volunteer guides. It undertook a feasibility study on costumed interpretation at Stirling Castle and evaluated the special events programme provided by freelancers to guide its future development.
